What does shipping/fulfillment to the USA cost?

Shipping costs for the United States start at $5 based on a single book and increase incrementally up to a maximum of $8.50 for 6 or more books.

What does shipping/fulfillment to the EU cost?

Shipping costs for the EU start at $8 based on a single book and increase incrementally up to a maximum of $20 for 8 or more books. Shipments to Europe may incur VAT fees at the time of delivery in addition to the shipping charges listed. These VAT Fees are outside of our control though we do our best to select a shipping method that will prevent these fees.

Shipping costs for Canada start at $16 based on a single book and increase incrementally up to a maximum of $30 for 7 or more books. Shipments to Canada may incur duties or taxes at the time of delivery in addition to the shipping charges listed. These duties and taxes are outside of our control, though we do our best to select a shipping method that will prevent these fees.

How to get support

If you have a question for our team, here’s the best way to reach out. Typically, we respond within one to two workdays, depending on time zones and workload. Email us: Send your message to [email protected] Please do not post time-sensitive or otherwise critical support questions in the Kickstarter public comment section, as this gets flooded/overlooked quickly. If you have a complaint please do not vent frustration in the public comments–instead reach out to our support team so we can actually help you.

ShippingFulfillment Estimates

Your Kickstarter pledge does not include shipping/fulfillment costs. These are calculated and charged through BackerKit later, based on your location and reward tier. In our experience, providing shipping cost estimates is a double-edged sword. We understand you like to know what you can expect. On the other hand, actual shipping of this product will happen 6 months from now, which means our estimates may be inaccurate, as postal carriers change their rates all the time (and usually, they only increase prices, not lower them). Fulfillment costs are built into our shipping rates with our fulfillment partners and depend on the final page count of the book. So, please understand these shipping/fulfillment “estimates” are exactly that: estimates. We always work hard to get you the best rates and service possible. Thank you for understanding!

What pledge manager do you use

We use the popular BackerKit pledge manager to handle our Kickstarter fulfillment and add-ons. BackerKit is a backer survey and data management platform that helps crowdfunding creators send surveys, sell add-ons, and manage backer data for rewards fulfillment. The BackerKit page for each Kickstarter is configured and launched after the initial Kickstarter campaign ends. Typically, it takes us 2 to 4 weeks to set this up, depending on the complexity of the campaign and rewards. During the Kickstarter campaign, you do not use BackerKit yet.

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
